Summary This Notice implements changes to the listing of equipment in Annex A.2 of the European Council Directive 96/98/EC of 20 December 1996 on marine equipment made by EU Commission Directive 2015/559/EU of 09 April 2015. The changes apply where no detailed internationally agreed testing standard exists. Equipment listed in the amended Annex A.2. will continue to be type approved by the UK’s Nominated Bodies until international standards are agreed and the products are transferred to Annex A.1 of the Marine Equipment Directive and into MSN 1734 (M+F).
